Dances on ZOOM

"May all beings be well"
The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, direct, accessible and profound. They are inspired by the wisdom and sacred phrases of many spiritual traditions. Essentially they are a form of celebration and meditation in song and movement, the sacred phrase being an important element of each Dance. No previous experience is necessary. All are welcome, croeso i bawb.

Zikr Dances on ZOOM

Zikr (Ziker/Dhikr) Dances are Dances of "Remembrance". Using sacred phrases in Arabic, these Dances of Universal Peace take us along one of the spiritual paths taught by Samuel L Lewis who originally created the Dances. An American born Sufi who studied many of the world’s spiritual traditions, Samuel L Lewis taught the "Path of the Heart".

In person Dances

The local circle at Derwenlas in Wales has been Dancing Dances of Universal Peace from around 1990 and continues to welcome new Dancers as well as those with more experience and visitors who are in this beautiful part of the world.
Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan, Grandfather of the Dances said: "See what an atmosphere the harmony of ten people can create; the power of love and the influence created by ten people is much greater than that created by one.

...the House of Lovers...

A weekend retreat with Yelena Swarana, Silje Devi & Shamsia

Friday 18th ~ Sunday 20th April in Aberangell Hall, Aberangell, Machynlleth

In the house of lovers the music never stops, the walls are made of songs, and the floor is divine ecstasy. Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī (جلال‌الدین محمّد رومی)

This is where we meet, where we really meet. As Samuel Lewis said, "real meetings are mergings: they change the parties involved leaving them more fully themselves." This is where we can experience Sacred Unity, here and now. This is how we can be transformed and renewed again.
